This guide will show you how to get to Koh Samet, where to stay, where to eat and what to do on the beautiful island of Koh Samet, Thailand. Let's get started!
How To Get to Koh Samet Island
I recommend flying into U-Tapao - Pattaya (UTP) airport. From here it's an easy 1 hour drive to the Ban Phe piers.
The following are your options on getting to Ban Phe.
- A shared mini-van at 300 baht per person.
- Uber at around 950 baht.
- Private taxi at 1300 baht.
Where to Stay on Koh Samet Island
I recommend Aoi No Na beach on the northern most point of the island. This is the most secluded and quiet beach with the softest, whitest sand. Try and get a beachfront bungalow at Mooban Talay resort. These bungalows are private with ocean views.
You can also search for additional options if that doesn't fit your needs. I recommend booking on Agoda for the best deals. Enter in your dates to see availability.
Best Restaurants on Koh Samet Island, Thailand
Moolaban Talay resorts just happens to have my favorite restaurant as well. Located right on the beach, this restaurants serves up the freshest seafood. I highly recommended ordering the seafood set to share between 2 people.
