"Drink your tea (or coffee!) slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves - slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this moment is life." - Thich Nhat Hanh
One year ago today, I left everything behind to travel the world. Since then I have visited places that have taken my breath away and experienced beauty that has left me speechless. What I cherish the most though are the incredible people I've met along the way. I never forget how fortunate I am to have this opportunity and I thank you, my online family for your support as the journey continues. Many more photos and adventures to come! Abrazos
Let’s do this Tarantino style and start with the ending first...I have to go to Venezuela this weekend in order to stay in Colombia. Que?
Okay, now let’s back it up a bit. Colombia’s official tourism slogan is “Colombia, the only risk is wanting to stay.” We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.
On the way to a small deserted island called Water Cay for a party, we came across this house built on it's own island. If you look closely, the dock is about the same length as the island itself. Talk about solitude!
UPDATE February 21, 2012 - The fee has increased to $75.500 pesos (COP).
Since I have to do this every month and the requirements just recently changed on 12/31/2011, I thought I’d write a post with the updated requirements. They are impossible to find online and hopefully others will find this useful as well. |
